The derivative of hexahydrocannabiphorol is made by strengthening the carbon side chain of HHC. The carbon structure plays a role in the interaction of cannabinoids with CB1 receptors. The lengthening of the carbon chain also increases the ability of the cannabinoid to bind to these receptors.

The HHC-P compound has similar properties to THC-P(tetrahydrocannabiphorol), a newly discovered and rare cannabinoid found in cannabis that stands out for its potent psychoactive effects.

In its pure form, HHC-P is a viscous oil, mostly light yellow to amber in colour, similar to HHC. 

The HHC-P effects can vary widely from user to user. HHC-P can induce euphoria, improved mood, and may also have relaxing and unwinding properties.
